• TMJ (temporomandibular joint disorders):
TMJ refers to conditions affecting the jaw joint and/or the muscles, as well as the surrounding tissues. Dr. will evaluate and treat accordingly conditions that present as pain in the face or jaw joint area, headaches, earaches, dizziness, pain when chewing, limited mouth opening, closed or open lock of the jaw joint, abnormal wear and fractures of teeth, clicking or popping sounds in the jaw joint and other complaints. Treatment modalities will vary depending on the underlying causes and symptoms presented by the patient.
• Sleep Apnea Device:

The American Academy of Sleep Medicine now recommends oral appliances as a front line of treatment for snoring and sleep apnea, and in cases where CPAP has not been tolerated. Oral appliances have several advantages: they fit entirely inside the mouth, they do not make any noise that might bother a sleeping partner, and they allow the wearer to change sleep positions. The appliance works by opening the bite and gently advancing the lower jaw with inter-changeable elastic straps to increase airway space.
